Monday has been a day of on and off showers throughout the day, as the lingering impacts from the remnants of Delta continue to plague our region. As we go into the overnight hours, a cold front will cross the viewing area.
There will be enough moisture ahead of the front to trigger a few more showers into the overnight hours and possibly into the Tuesday morning commute. Low temperatures tonight will fall into the low-mid 50s, with the clouds keeping us mild.
Tuesday will be a day of gradual clearing. Tuesday will start with a few showers and mostly cloudy conditions. However, we will see plenty of sunshine and drier conditions into Tuesday afternoon, as high pressure settles in.
High temperatures will be in the low-mid 60s by Tuesday afternoon, with a slight cool down behind the cold front.
Tuesday night, we look dry, with temperatures dipping back into the 40s.
The rest of the week will feature drier conditions, however, a major cool down is coming up. We could even see a hard freeze sometime this week, maybe even a flake or two... Get the full details in your full 10-day forecast tonight at 5,6 and 11 on WVVA-NBC and at 10 on the CW.
