BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Bluefield College was practicing in full gear at Mitchell Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. It's the first time the guys have put the pads on since the school dealt with a second COVID-19 outbreak.

"It feels really good to be around everybody again," junior quarterback Bryce Verble smiled. "For awhile there we were kind of split up offense defense. But, coming out here today and getting to compete with everybody felt real good."

"Knock off some of the cobwebs -- some of the guys actually see what we're running in live action with people other than the normal defense," senior linebacker and All-American Demarcus Wimbush added. "It just felt good to actually get our pads back on us and everything today."

The Rams are scheduled to open their modified spring season at home on February 6.
