A cold front has departed our area, leaving cooler and drier air to filter in behind it. This front had little rain with it, so we should continue to clear out quickly overnight. Some of the coldest air we've had in a while will be moving in tonight! Temps will eventually dip into the upper 20s and low-mid 30s. Frost will be possible in many spots. If you have sensitive plants/vegetation outdoors, cover it up or bring it inside if you can!
A FREEZE WARNING for Saturday AM has been issued for Buchanan, McDowell, Mercer, Summers, Monroe, Raleigh, Fayette, Wyoming, Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties.
A FROST ADVISORY for Saturday AM has been issued for Bland, Giles, and Wythe counties.
Saturday looks sunny and dry as high pressure takes control of our weather pattern. Despite the sunshine though, we won't exactly be warm. Highs for most on Saturday will be in the low to mid 50s. Saturday night will again be chilly and clear with lows in the low to upper 30s.
By Sunday, temps will have recovered into the 60s, and another warm-up could be in store for next week..make sure to tune in tonight to WVVA NEWS at 5,6,10, and 11 PM for the latest full forecast!
