Employee at James Monroe High School tests positive for COVID-19, as well as more in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, W. Va. (WVVA) - Monroe County Public Schools have confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in multiple schools.

  • Two employees at Mountain View High School tested positive for COVID-19.
  • James Monroe High School has one employee who tested positive.
  • An itinerant employee who worked at Peterstown High School who worked there in the last week tested positive.

The Monroe County Heath Department will conduct contact tracing and all students and employees will be notified.
