Individual at Greenbrier East High School tests positive for COVID-19

LEWISBURG, W. Va. (WVVA) - An individual at Greenbrier East High School has tested positive for COVID-19 according to the school Facebook page.

Because of this, all Greenbrier East students will begin to learn remotely, beginning on October 19, 2020 through October 21, 2020.

This time period will allow for contact tracing and proper sanitation to occur.

All extra-curricular and athletic activities are cancelled through October 21 as well.

Those activities may resume at the end of the school day on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Contact tracing is underway, and those who may have been exposed will be notified and quarantined.

To prevent the further spread of COVID-19, remember to wear face masks when in public, wash your hands after leaving a public place, and to stay six feet apart from others when in public.
