MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Mountaineers will not travel to Waco for a Tuesday tilt as originally scheduled, the university announced Monday.

The Big 12 has postponed the conference between No. 13 West Virginia and No. 2 Baylor, as WVU was "unable to meet the required COVID-19 thresholds on Monday, as established by the Big 12 Conference."

“Our intent is to get the spread under control as soon as possible for the health and safety of all involved,” WVU Director of Athletics Shane Lyons said in a statement. “While this issue has hit many college basketball programs, we have been fortunate to have played 13 games so far this season.”

No decision have been made regarding future games. Bob Huggins and company are now scheduled to take the floor next on Saturday, January 16 against TCU.
