ATHENS, W.Va. (WVVA) - Both the Mountain Lion men's and women's basketball teams were able to take home victories at Christie Cox Court on Wednesday evening.

The ladies remained undefeated at home with a 74-61 win over the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. Eight second-half three-pointers for Concord, plus a commanding 21 point, 12 rebound double-double from Riley Fitzwater, was more than enough to keep the visitors at bay.

For the men's team, the Mountain Lions were able to hold off a 42-point scoring outburst in the second half for West Virginia Wesleyan. Twenty-two points from Liam Evans helped get Concord their first home win of the season, 73-69.

Both teams hit the road on Saturday for games with Davis and Elkins. The women tip-off at 2:00 p.m., while the men tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
