Sunshine sticks with us into Thursday, but changes lie ahead into the weekend

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We look to remain dry as we head into tonight, with temps falling again into the 20s and 30s. A weak upper level disturbance may bring a few passing clouds late tonight and into early Thursday morning, but otherwise we look quiet into tomorrow. We should see plenty of sun into Thursday afternoon with highs in the 40s and 50s. Thursday night will feature gradually increasing clouds and lows in the 30s.

A cold front then looks to swing in Friday, bringing us a chilly and damp end to the work week.

We look to see on and off scattered rain and snow showers Friday, with highs in the 30s and low 40s. A reinforcing shot of cold air behind this front into Saturday will allow for more upslope snow showers throughout the weekend.

As of now, this is not looking like a " big one" by any means, but we could see some light accumulation (generally 1-3") across our western facing slopes from Friday through early Monday morning of next week. Highs through the weekend look to top off in the upper 20s and low 30s. SLICK TRAVEL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH SNOW AND BLACK ICE!

We could see several more chances of rain and snow well into next week. Make sure to tune in tonight to WVVA News at 5,6,10 (CW) and 11 PM for the latest full forecast!
