Suspect sought after late-night shooting in Mercer County

MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) - One person is hospitalized and another is on the run after a late-night shooting in Mercer County.

Deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office say they were called to the area of Kirby Addition Road and Strawberry Loop in Glenwood after shots were fired just after midnight on Thursday.

A 30-year-old male was shot twice while walking in the mobile home park in the area, deputies say. He was taken to Princeton Community Hospital and later airlifted to Charleston Area Medical Center.

The shooter has not been identified.
