Bluefield sanitation workers recognized on Dr. King’s birthday

Bluefield, WV (WVVA) Sanitation workers in Bluefield received a special treat Friday. In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, members of the north side - east end community prepared lunch for those who work hard to maintain the city. Dr. King was an advocate for those who do the difficult, and many times unpleasant tasks that ensure the community stays clean and safe.

As an act of thanks and appreciation, Bluefield's busiest received a hot lunch of fried chicken, potato salad, green beans, rolls, and cake.
