Program that helps manufacturers draws $600K in funding

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The U.S. Department of Commerce has awarded $600,000 to a program at West Virginia University that assists small and midsize U.S. manufacturing companies.
U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito announced the funds from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
A news release from the senators said the award is for the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership, which provides technical assistance and other services to manufactures to help increase jobs and profits.
