Boil Water Notice issued for the Green Valley – Glenwood PSD area

GREEN VALLEY - GLENWOOD, W. Va. (WVVA) - The Glenwood Water Plant, located in the Green Valley - Glenwood PSD area, has issued a boil water notice for the area due to high levels of turbidity.

The entire water system has been affected.

Conditions are indicating that there is a high probability that customers water in that area has been contaminated.

Testing is ongoing at this time.

If you are a customer in this area, DO NOT DRINK YOUR WATER WITHOUT FIRST BOILING IT.

General guidelines on ways to lessen the health risk are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1 (800) 426-4791.

Turbidity levels are exceeding the safety limits, and the Green Valley - Glenwood PSD is attempting to correct the problem.

It is anticipated to be fixed by February 26, 2021 or sooner.
