Fayette County man dies after being struck by train

MONTGOMERY, W.Va. (WVVA) - A Fayette County man has died after being struck by a train.

Chief Deputy Rod Perdue II of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department says a train engineer called 911 just after midnight on Monday to report that he may have struck an individual who was lying down on the tracks.

He was located several hours later.

Norman Robert Harlan II, of Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies say he was suffering "emotional/psychological problems" at the time of the incident.
