High water and black ice possible for Tuesday morning commute

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Flood Warnings are still active for parts of the viewing area. Western Greenbrier county will be under a Flood Warning until 9AM. The Bluestone River at Spanishburg will be under a Flood Warning until 9AM. The Greenbrier River at Alderson will be under a Flood Warning until 8:15PM.

This morning temperatures are starting us off in the 20s. Any water that was left on the roads could have frozen over causing some slick spots this morning. Winds are a tad gusty to start the day, but calmer conditions move in.

Rain showers are non existent for our Tuesday and looks like high pressure will stick around for a while! Even though we are dry all day today we still need to be aware for high water and runoff issues. The good news is that river levels are continuing to fall!

Temperatures will be slightly below average in the mid-upper 40s for most. A few lower 50s will pop in. Sunshine builds in today and lasts into tomorrow.

Temperatures tonight will be cool again in the 20s and 30s, but expect warmer temperatures for Wednesday. Most of the viewing area will be in the 50s for afternoon highs.

We cool down slightly for Thursday and into the weekend with temperatures in the 40s for most and lows falling back down into the 20s. We stay fairly dry throughout this week and even into the weekend. A stray shower or two is possible, but for most of us we will continue to see dry conditions!
