House to debate and vote on $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WVVA) - The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to approve the final version of the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill on Wednesday.

The Senate returned a different version of the bill to the House on a 50-49 vote last Saturday. The House of Representatives began their debate Wednesday morning.

This bill includes the third round of stimulus checks, which would distribute $1400 to qualifying Americans.

Stimulus checks are expected to be sent out soon after the bill is signed into law by President Biden.

Stick with WVVA for updates as the voting begins.
