Mercer County man facing Methamphetamine charges

A Mercer County man is facing distribution charges and is being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.

31 year old David Earnest is facing charges of possession to deliver methamphetamine.

Princeton Police Chief Tim Gray says the department was contacted by Mercer County Home Confinement Officers, regarding illicit activity at a home that is believed to be where Earnest resides.

Upon arriving at the house, the police found enough probable cause for a search warrant.
Officers found methamphetamine in the home, enough items consistent with intent to distribute.

Chief Gray says he wants all residents in the City to know, the department is working to keep all residents safe.

“For several weeks, we’ve had a number of complaints about the area on Washington Avenue,” said Gray. “We just want residents to know we are watching and are aware of it. We’re doing everything in our power to take care of it.”

Chief Gray says he’s proud of his officers for their quick response and they will continue protecting the community.

“For those people that are causing the problems, we’re here, we’re not going anywhere. Eventually, our paths will cross.”
