(Lewisburg) The Greenbrier Valley Conservation District is announcing its 2019 Poster Contest. It is part of a largercontest put on by the West Virginia Association of Conservation Districts and the National Association of Conservation Districts.
The theme this year is “Life in the soil: dig deeper”. Entries are accepted for children of all ages. A trophy will be awarded to first place winners for each age group. All participants will receive a certificate and small prize for their participation.
Lynn Woods the Greenbrier Valley Conservation District manager swaid, “We feel like the future of conservation is in the hands of our kids and this is a great opportunity to introduce conservation concepts to them at an age as young as five years old.” Woods added that the Greenbrier Valley Conservation District can also provide educational materials to teachers if they want their whole class to participate.
