DUI checkpoint set for Mercer County

PUBLIC NOTICE:

The West Virginia State Police plans to conduct a DUI checkpoint in Mercer County during the second week of September.

It will start Friday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. and will end on Saturday, September 8 at 1;00 a.m.

The checkpoint will be along Oakvale Road.

The purpose of this checkpoint is to increase public awareness and to deter the citizens of West Virginia from driving a motor vehicle while their ability to do so has been impaired from the use of drugs and/or alcohol.-West Virginia State Police.
