HIAWATHA, WV (WVVA)– A family in Springton is facing travel issues due to a road being washed out.
Brian Porter, a Springton Mountain Rd resident, is worried the Division of Highways aren’t taking the road situation seriously.
He says that he has called multiple times over the past couple months, and still sees no effort in fixing the road.
The department has tried fixing the road, by adding wooden planks, gravel, and boulders to build up what washed away. But doesn’t seem to work.
Porter says the section that floods, can get up to 10 inches deep in some parts, making it dangerous for buses to drive through.
