Bluefield College hosts art show Friday

The Bluefield College arts department is hosting an art show this Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM in the Cox Visual Arts Center in the Bluefield State campus. Students under the helm of art department chair Walter Shroyer will presenting their work over the semester. Ceramics will be most prominently presented, although prints, paintings, and even soap will also be presented.

The art show has been held for 24 years, and is usually held after the conclusion of the fall semester. Another art show is usually held in the spring.

“Nothing like selling your own work, I mean, to see the smiles when they sell a piece, man they’re just so excited. they made this, they put a lot of energy into this, and they’ve sold” said Shroyer, who is selling some artwork himself.
