A Hilltop man wanted by the U.S. Marshal Service is behind bars awaiting arraignment after he was stopped during a traffic stop yesterday.
Fayette County Sheriff, Mike Fridley says, a deputy was conducting traffic enforcement when he stopped Michael Paul, 32.
The deputy discovered Paul was wanted by the U.S. Marshal Service for a probation violation stemming from felony fraud convictions. A loaded handgun was also found in the vehicle.
Paul was arrested for the federal probation violation, and was charged with prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
