It was the grand event for the sixth annual Richlands Winter Honey Festival.
The Winter Honey Exposition wrapped up a nine day celebration of bees, honey and nature with events like elk viewing, beekeeping classes and concerts throughout the past week.
Today, vendors offered bee supplies, bee decorations, honey flavored food and so much more.
The event was originally aimed at the small beekeeping community, but now, it has grown into something much bigger.
“It’s in the middle of winter, right close to Valentine’s Day, so we attracted a lot of other people. Then, we decided to invite others and it morphed into this and the classes and many other events. So now, it’s kind of a winter honey–it’s kind of a dream,” says Chairman of the Winter Honey Festival, John Willis.
