BECKLEY, WV (WVVA) A popular car show in Beckley now has a new name to reflect the “true mission of the show.”
The Friends of Coal Auto Fair is now known as the Friends of Charity Auto Fair.
“With the International Scout Jamboree happening this year, they asked us to move it up a week,” said Tim Carrico of Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
The event will take place July 12-13 at the Raleigh County Memorial Airport. Proceeds from the auto fair will benefit Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
“Hospice of Southern West Virginia benefits terminally ill patients in Raleigh, Summers, Fayette, and Wyoming counties,” said Carrico. “[It] will go to help those who can’t afford hospice services. ”
