Aspiring entrepreneurs gathered for the third annual “Meet the Millennials” event in the City of Bluefield,
and one of the young men in attendance, a college student who already owns his own business.

Robert Brown is 26-years old, a junior attending Bluefield State College, double majoring in accounting and marketing.

Brown is an athlete and the President of the “Emerging Leaders Institute” at Bluefield State and he is the owner of “Lootswaay Clothing.”

Brown’s clothing business has been up and running for three years and his vision for “Lootswaay Clothing” came to him when he was homeless.

“I was going from couch to couch,” said Brown. “But the City of Bluefield welcomed me with open arms.”

Brown has been quoted by the city as being a testimony to aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging other young people to take a chance on their dreams.

Jim Spencer, Economic and Community Development Director for the city is encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs, to reach out to his department for any information about future events.

For more information, contact Spencer at (304) 327-2401, ext. 2405. You can also email Spencer at jspencer@cityofbluefield.com.
