A judge will decide if a possible witness can testify in a trial involving a Mercer County woman facing child abuse charges.

Marlene “Molly” Robinson is facing charges for child abuse with injury and child abuse with risk of injury for incidents believed to have occurred at a school.

Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler says he’s presented a possible witness to the judge that could provide knowledge and background about working with special-needs children.

“We just disclosed this possible witness and the judge hasn’t ruled on whether they are going to let them testify yet,” said Sitler.

Robinson has waived her right to a speedy trial.

As of now, there is no official confirmation on the date the trial is expected to begin.
