BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) Jennmar is hiring miners for a job set to begin soon. Representatives for the company were at Tamarack Tuesday seeking applications from both red and black hat miners.

The underground job is located at the Maple Eagle Mine in Powellton, West Virginia.

According to spokesperson Jennifer Hull, the mine operator is seeking miners who are preferably already certified.

“Looks like it’s going to be a big job. We’re looking for 40 people so that’s why we came down here. We’re also looking to fill positions in Virginia and up North too.”

For miners willing to relocate, Hull said the company is also hiring in the Northern panhandle, Alabama, and in Pocahontas, Virginia.

The company is taking applications on Indeed.com. To request one by phone, call 724-514-7656
