Bluefield program hopes to curb childhood hunger this summer

Bluefield WV (WVVA) – The City of Bluefield will help feed local children this summer.

Starting June 5, the federally funded summer food program will be available to children 18 and younger at the Bluefield Parks and Recreation Youth Center Auditorium located on Stadium Drive.

Breakfast will be offered 8am-9am and lunch will be served from 12pm-1pm. Meals will be available Monday through Friday. However, no meals will be served on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

The program ends August 8.
