(RALEIGH COUNTY) Saturday will be the home to more than 800 wine lovers. The 21st annual West Virginia Spring Wine Festival will feature food, more than 7 wine vendors, and more. This year the festival will be unique because it will be a family affair.
“West Virginia we’re focused on family. There’s a lot of things to do for the outdoors and a lot of us grew up outdoors. For West Virginia to have a small hometown winery and this kind of festival, it brings in a lot of history of winery and wine making was always a family affair,” Daniel Vineyards Manager, Chad Fox said.
Wine can also be beneficial for youth health.
“There’s been a lot of scientific research throughout the years especially with red wine having benefits for heart health, and digestion. So wine can be used for different things, and something you can have to enjoy with food. I know a lot of people appreciate the food aspect and that’s one thing we’ve been trying to focus on out here, because wine elevates your food experience,” Fox explained.
The wine festival will start at 11 am and run until 6 pm.
