WYOMING COUNTY (WVVA) — UPDATE: Deputies have released the name of the victim after a shooting in Wyoming County on Wednesday.
They said his name is Russel McBride of Covel. Deputies said he was able to survive the shooting.
As of Thursday afternoon, the search continued for the two other suspects involved — Derrick Milam and David Weis.
One man has been arrested and two others remain at large after a shooting in Wyoming County this morning.
At around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, Wyoming County dispatch received a complaint of an attempted theft of an ATV and brandishing of a shotgun in Bud. The suspects fled the scene.
Shortly after, a call came in reporting shots fired at a residence on Gooney Otter Hollow Rd. in Covel.
One male was injured and transported to Charleston Area Medical Center. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department apprehended one of the suspects in Matoaka after locating the vehicle the suspects used, which was borrowed. Law enforcement officials say they located the suspect while he was attempting to burn potential evidence.
They are still attempting to locate Derrick Milam and David Weis in connection with the incidents.
