Deputies investigating incident, child hit by vehicle

MERCER COUNTY, W.V.a (WVVA) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident that happened in the area of Mills Hill ,WV Route 10, involving a child possibly hit by a vehicle.

In a statement released by the deputies, they responded to a report of a seven-year-old child being struck by a vehicle, after the child ran in front of it.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was found to not be at fault.

The Princeton Rescue Squad responded to the scene and the child was transported to Princeton Community Hospital.

The child was later airlifted to Charleston Area Medical Center, and the condition of the child is unknown.

The incident is still under investigation by Deputy L. L. Addair.
