Trooper involved in wreck on Thornton Avenue in Princeton

PRINCETON, WV (WVVA) A trooper with the West Virginia State Police is among those involved in a wreck that occurred in Princeton, Wednesday afternoon. First Sergeant R.A. Maddy says Cpl. White was traveling on Thornton Ave when the driver of a 2019 Honda was turning left onto Radio Lane.

F/Sgt. Maddy says Cpl. White saw the driver, Donald Brown, traveling into his path. White then steered right to avoid the Honda, but Brown hit the driver’s side of Cpl. White’s cruiser.

Cpl White’s cruiser then went off the road and rested in the driveway of an abandoned home.

Both, Cpl. White and Brown were transported from the scene by Princeton Rescue Squad. They are in stable condition according to F/Sgt. Maddy.

The crash is still under investigation.
