The 2018 Richlands softball season ended in the state championship for the second-straight year. Their quest to return to the state tournament in June started on Tuesday evening against the Graham G-Girls.

The Lady Blues plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning, including a Ginger Short RBI. Graham responded in the top of the second with a Jocilyn Thompson RBI single.

But, Richlands broke the game open in the bottom half of the inning. Mac Osborne, the Virginia Class 2A Player of the Year in 2018, helped her own cause on the mound with an RBI single.

The Lady Blues rolled to a five-inning, 16-1 victory.
