On Saturday afternoon, the Bluefield College Rams capped off their spring camp with an exhibition football game between their offensive and defensive units.
All eyes were on the quarterbacks, as a three-way battle between Shiloh Ward, Bryce Verbal and Kevin Mills took place.
Ward was the first quarterback to put points on the board, hitting Mason Jefferson deep down the sideline for the opening touchdown.
Not long after, Verbal got his shot. He was able to guide the unit down the field on a long drive that was capped off by a LeCedric King touchdown rush.
Mills, on the other hand, never could find his rhythm, as each of his drives ended empty handed.
“You know, there’s always room for improvement with everything you do, but I couldn’t be more proud of these guys and how hard they’ve worked this spring,” said head coach Dewey Lusk.
In all, the Rams offense was able to score 17 points on the day.
