Concord entered Monday afternoon’s doubleheader with West Virginia Wesleyan on five-game winning streak.
The Mountain Lions crushed the Bobcats in the first game, 12-2. Wesleyan scored the first run of the game, but CU scored the next 11 to win easily.
Game two was a much tighter contest. Concord jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a Jakob Divers sac fly and an Evan Webb RBI. However, the Bobcats scored five runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined to take a lead.
CU would tie up the game in the seventh to force extra innings. In the tenth, Jordan Clark scored the game-winning run on a throwing error.
Evan Webb was 3-for-5 with 2 RBIs in the second game, as the Mountain Lions went on to win 7-6.
