Jays crush Yankees in series opener, 10-1

On Tuesday, Bluefield opened a three-game set against the division leaders, the Pulaski Yankees.

Bluefield scored two runs in the first to take a quick lead. The score would remain that way until the fourth. Leonardo Jimenez hit into an RBI groundout to extend the advantage.

Davis Schneider and Scotty Bradley contributed home run in the middle innings to seal the 10-1 victory.

Jol Concepcion earned his second win of the year on the mound for the Blue Jays. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, while striking out eight batters.

The two teams will matchup again on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
