ATHENS, W.Va (WVVA) — On Tuesday, the Lady Mountain Lions played in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2019.

But, today was about much more than soccer, as the program honored former teammate, Alexis Walker, who died suddenly in May. Head coach Luke Duffy and his team wore special warmups and honored Walker with a moment of silence before the match.

Rachel Bell notched the first CU goal just over 20 minutes in off a feed from Leah Foster. Elisha Robinson scored less than 15 minutes later to put the match out of King University’s reach.

Concord moves to 4-0-0 on the season and will play next at Davis & Elkins on Saturday at 2 p.m.
