Rain today, a cold weekend to follow!

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

A cold front will be moving through the area today, so have the rain-gear! Rain, which will be heavy at times, will be on and off through most of our Friday. Highs today will be in the upper 40s for most. The front will begin to pull away from the area this evening, so expect a rapid drop in temps tonight after dusk. Lows tonight will bottom out in the 20s for most, and rain will turn over to light snow showers overnight tonight as gusty NW winds ramp up through tomorrow morning. The high elevations of Western Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties, and other areas above 3000 ft could receive an inch or so of the white stuff, which will come to an end by late Saturday morning. Saturday night will be dry and cold with lows in the teens and 20s!

We’ll be cool and dry for Veterans’ Day with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s and 30s Sunday night. Another strong frontal system looks to bring another shot at a chilly rain, occasionally mixing with snowflakes Monday evening and into Tuesday. We look chilly and dry again by the end of next week. Stay tuned!
