Have the raincoats early! We’ll be cloudy and wet at times this morning with rounds of rain showers as a cold front moves into the area. Temps will hover around the 60 degree mark for most of the morning, dropping a few degrees into the afternoon as cooler and drier air starts to filter in behind the departing system. We’ll see some sun break out after lunch time today, but it will be gusty at times, with sustained winds in the 10-20 mph range and gusts occasionally around 30mph. Tonight we will remain windy and cloud cover will build back in as some lingering moisture is squeezed out over our mountains.
Scattered rain and snow showers will be possible overnight and into early Saturday morning as temps drop into the low 30s. Accumulations look little to none, with an inch or less expected, mainly on grassy surfaces. Sun will emerge again by Saturday afternoon, and the rest of St. Patrick’s Day weekend looks cool and dry with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s Saturday and Sunday. At a glance, next week looks mainly dry and seasonable with temps in the 40s and 50s and highs pressure in control for a while. Stay tuned!
