Windy and wintry start to the work week

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Bundle up before heading out! The cold front that brought us rounds of showers and storms yesterday is finally pulling out of the area, but colder air spilling in behind this system will make it feel more like Winter than Spring heading out the door this morning. Temps early will be dropping into the 30s, with wind chills in the 20s possible as gusty NW winds ramp up this AM. Scattered rain/snow showers will also be possible this morning, and we could see just enough of the white stuff to have a dusting or so on the grass before the morning is over at high elevations. We’ll otherwise start to dry out into the afternoon, but it will be chilly and gusty at times with highs today only in the 40s for most. With the wet ground, downed trees and sporadic power loss will be possible as winds gust anywhere from 30-55 mph on occasion. Tonight, we calm down and clear out with colder overnight lows again in the 30s.

Warm high pressure then moves back in tomorrow, giving us a milder and drier remainder of the work week. Tuesday through Thursday we should see plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. A second frontal system looks to roll in by Friday, bringing the chance of showers, t-storms, and possibly more severe weather. Stay tuned!
