Warming up quickly mid-to-late week

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

With northwesterly flow continuing into the overnight hours, we’ll still be on the cooler side this evening. We’ll remain in the 60s before the sun goes down, eventually dipping into the 40s and 50s overnight and into tomorrow morning. A light jacket may be a good idea to start Thursday morning, but into the afternoon, temps should be around normal for this time of year, in the upper 60s and low 70s. We should see plenty of sun, but a few more afternoon clouds and a stray shower or two can’t be ruled out. Winds will shift out of the southwest through the rest of the work week, so temperatures will quickly rise back into the upper 70s and low 80s by Friday, and into the weekend.

Our best chance of rain will be Friday morning as a disturbance swings into our area- we could see some rounds of heavy showers and a few thunderstorms to start the day, but more sun should emerge by Friday afternoon (as of now). Showers and thunderstorms may pop up with daytime heat and humidity into the weekend, but otherwise we’ll be mainly partly cloudy and Summer-like through the beginning of next week. Stay tuned!
