We are going to receive a few showers and some storms today. Basically we will witness the same pattern as yesterday where we start off mostly dry then have hit or miss showers & storms arrive in the afternoon.
Today, we do still have a potential for a few storms to become on the stronger or severe side. The main threats once again will be damaging winds and small hail. At times, we could receive heavy amounts of rainfall, but flooding doesn’t look to be a big issue since we have been so dry. Our flooding chances will increase though as we continue into the work week. We have been tracking a cold front that is slowly taking its time to cross through us. Earlier this week, the cold front looked to hit us today and through tomorrow. Now, this has been delayed into Friday and this will allow us to see a few more showers into Saturday. Less humid air and drier conditions will arrive on Sunday as the system exits the region.
Temperatures will start to drop today and be scattered all around in the 80s. Most of the area will see highs in the low-mid 80s, while the lower elevations will be in the upper 80s. Overnight we can still see a few showers over top of the area, but most of us will continue to dry out. Patchy fog and temperatures in the 60s are expected into tonight and tomorrow morning.
